How do I make a video of someone and save it on the internet?

Most mobile phones or pocket video cameras can record short videos that are of high enough quality for this purpose.

This is usually done by setting your handset to camera mode and then switching from photo to video mode (you may see an icon symbolising a camera). On pocket video cameras it’s often as simple as pressing the red record button.

When recording, focus on the subject’s head and shoulders and although you should keep the phone or camera still whilst filming, the hand-held nature of this style can give a more personal feel.

To upload your film to a computer requires a wired (USB) connection or a wireless (Bluetooth) link. USB connectors will either be built-in or supplied with your phone. Use this connector and follow the instructions on screen to save to your computer.

When transferred, there are a number of video sharing websites to host your film, the most popular being YouTube. You should create a (free) account and then select the location when your video is stored to upload it. If you give your video useful tags and add a description it will make it easier for others to find.
