What do I need to use video conferencing?
Video conferencing via the web can save you time and money if you have a computer and a broadband internet connection for each participant, a low cost video camera and a service to manage the connection. It can save travel time to meetings, or change contact from infrequent longer meetings to more frequent short meetings.
One-to-one video conferencing is widely available via services such as MSN and Skype. Having each signed up you turn on your video camera and can see and hear one another. Depending on the service you may be able to share the call with many others, but you may pay a premium for extra users.
A new generation of web conferencing tools such as WebEx or GoToMeeting allow users to work together on documents, add notes to a whiteboard and share slideshows.
