How can the Internet help my fundraising?

The internet is a great tool for fundraising. Here are three things it can do for you:1. Fundraising skills
Most fundraisers are self-taught but here are lots of fundraising guides and information sheets available online.

2. Research
Find sources of funds through online databases and funding newsletters. Get ideas by looking at what other people are doing in your field. Download and submit application forms. Gather statistics that support bids at www.statistics.gov.uk

3. Generate money through email or your website
Nurture your network of online supporters to raise your profile. Ask for donations through your website or encourage supporters to raise funds through sites such as JustGiving.com, which can take donations online and add Gift Aid. Or ask a volunteer to use eBay to sell goods for you.
